How to Cure Dandruff Using Herbal Method

Dandruff is one of the most common dermatological conditions. Fortunately, while the exact cause of dandruff is not known, there are some things one can do to reduce the risk of getting it, effective treatments are also available too. This article will show you some proven ways you can treat dandruff using the herbal way – read on.

Treat Dandruff with Fenugreek Seeds and Lime

A fenugreek seed is one of the most important remedies in the treatment of dandruff. Soak two tablespoons of fenugreeks seeds overnight in the water and ground it into a fine paste in the morning. Apply the paste all over the scalp and leave it for about thirty minutes. Next, wash the hair thoroughly with soap-nut (ritha) solution or acacia concinna. For the last rinse, use a teaspoon of fresh lime juice while washing the hair. This will make your hair glow and it will also remove stickiness and prevents dandruff.

Treat Dandruff with Beet

Beets is also a useful herbal formula in the treatment of dandruff. Boil both the tops and the roots in water. (White beet seems to be preferable for this purpose). This water should then be massaged into the scalp every night with the finger tips.

Treat Dandruff with Snake Gourd

The juice of snake gourd is also good in the prevention and treatment of dandruff. The juice should be rubbed over the scalp for this purpose.

Treat Dandruff with Green Gram Powder

Green gram powder is a valuable prescription for removal of dandruff. Wash your hair two times in a week with two tablespoons of green gram powder mixed with half a cup of curd.

Treat Dandruff with Cider Vinegar

Cider vinegar is also good for dandruff treatment. It will keep your pores free from sebum buildup. Rinse your hair with cider vinegar after washing for one week.  After you rinse, rub your scalp with your fingertips for about 2 or 3 minutes. When you are done, place 3 or 5 drops of tea tree on your hands and rub it into your hair, vigorously. Allow your hair to air-dry after this.

Finally, dandruff can also be removed by massaging your hair for thirty minutes with curd which has been kept in the open for about three days, or with some drops of lime juice mixed with Indian gooseberry juice every night, before going to bed. All this types are effective when applied diligently.

  1. I had never heard about the beet thing. We get a delivery of produce from a farm and we always get beets. I have never known waht to do with them because I think they’re gross. Now, I do!
